Galaxy Performance SDK

With the Galaxy Performance SDK, you can ensure that the system reserves a minimum amount of resources for your application, or gives the application additional resources when needed. Your application can also be informed when system resources become overworked.

The Galaxy Performance SDK is supported on most Samsung Galaxy devices running Android 10 (Android Q) or later since March 2020. It is not supported on some devices with lower-end hardware
A list of devices that support this are listed below, most of which we at mobile solutions can repair.

The Galaxy Performance SDK provides an interface that enables you to define:

Minimum and maximum operating frequencies for the CPU, GPU, and RAM
Preferred core allocation
Task priority and affinity to the default, performance, or power saving CPU core
Event listeners to notify the application about system resource limitation
A sample application is provided with the Galaxy Performance SDK documentation to demonstrate its capability.

iPad History and Chronology

The Apple iPad is a tablet first introduced by Steve Jobs in January 2010 when he asked an audience whether “there was room for something in the middle” of the iPhone and the MacBook?

The answer was absolutely as Apple then sold 3 million iPads in the next 80 days!

Interestingly work on the iPad itself actually traces back to 2004, when designer Jonathan Ive and others crafted a new tablet prototype. The product was originally supposed to ship before the iPhone, but the company came to decide the latter was more important, premiering it in 2007 using similar technologies.

As of September 2020, Apple has sold more than 500 million iPads though sales peaked in 2013. It is the most popular tablet computer by sales as of the second quarter of 2020.

Repair for the iPad are comparatively inexpensive at Mobile Solutions with replacement screens starting at £55. We can replace batteries, charge ports and a host of other repairs.

We also sell reconditioned iPads across our 3 stores in Norwich, Cambridge and Great Yarmouth

level 3 repairs

I started level 3 repairs on Samsung devices where I worked on warranty devices at a factory with a that handle Samsung’s in-house repairs. My training was extensive in terms of fidelity and diagnosis methods.

Outside of authorised repairs for Samsung, and since Samsung have made their phones less repairable, at Mobile Solutions we repair a much wider range of devices, from Out of Warranty phones and tablets to laptops, desktops, games consoles, controllers and wearables.

Level 3 board repairs are generally a last resort option for an otherwise unusable device, any rework of components on a circuit board can prove a risk as manufacturers don’t design their devices to be repaired. Manufacturers prefer customers to buy a new device so it’s generally worth an attempt before replacing the device. This provides a two-fold benefit in regard to sustainability and cost.

Many devices have what’s often known as Signature Faults,  such as failures in the Touch IC (Integrated Circuit) on the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus, or the Audio IC on the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. These faults are generally caused by fundamental design flaws in the device which are often not acknowledged by the manufacturer. They are only fixed under warranty in a relatively small window of time, without any redesign or fix applied to devices still being sold and this may be at risk of developing the fault once the recall period is over.

At Mobile Solutions we still fix a large number of these faults on certain phones, with a high level of success. There has been much research put into the fix by the repair community worldwide, thus building a wealth of communal knowledge that is vital for us to provide a high level of service to our customers. We love to keep devices in circulation which would otherwise be disposed of or forgotten in a drawer.

Lcds replacements

Here at Mobile Solutions we aim to offer our customers the best quality lcds (liquid crystal display) we can get, and one of the best quality are our in-house refurbished lcds.
We take an original cracked lcd, test it to make sure the digitizer, touch sensor and lcd are working properly, once and then we need to remove the broken glass from the lcd/digitiser using our state of the art automatic glass stripping machine.
Once we have removed the glass, the next step is to remove the polariser from the lcd/digitiser and clean the original lcd down ready for the new polariser to be put on the lcd/digitiser.
The next step is It then needs to be put into a mould to line up the lcd/digitiser with the new glass and frame.
We then have to put it through the lcd lamination process which will bind the two together. Once this process is done it’s time for the new lcd to be put into a debubbling machine to get out any last air bubbles that may still be in there.
This is the final part of this process so we can give you an lcd that is 90% original parts, which are better than any copy lcd on the market.

Mobile Solutions are one of the few mobile repair retail companies that can complete this process.

I Can fix it myself!!

I Can fix it myself!!

If I had a penny for every time a customer came in and said, “it looked easy on the internet”, well you know the rest!

Customer’s often come into our shop with a small bag containing a phone or tablet, screws, batteries or screens and ask us to put them back together again. It is no fault of their own as YouTube has turned us all into experts on DIY, device repairs and car maintenance. Experts make it look so easy to do but in reality it isn’t.

You can buy special screwdrivers, screws and a host of other equipment to fix your mobile. Once started the sheer number of bits that have to be removed and remembered is mind blowing. The ordering of the right parts is also a minefield. Screens for the right phone with the right LCD or Digi of the right quality, batteries that won’t swell up and break the screen or bend your phone or in worst case scenario become dangerous.

What to do if you find yourself with a broken screen, dead battery, faulty charge port or any issue including water damaged phones then give us a call.

It is much less expensive than you think and the benefits of coming to your trusted repairer at Mobile Solutions are:

  1. Combined experience of over 100 years
  2. Quality parts covered by a guarantee
  3. All repairs guaranteed
  4. Speedy service with most repairs only taking an hour
  5. Great value for money
  6. 5* customer service

So, come off YouTube and stick with the professionals at Mobile Solutions in Norwich, Cambridge and Great Yarmouth.

Samsung devices

Samsung was founded as a grocery trading store on March 1, 1938, by Lee Byung-Chill. The SGH-100 had the honour of being their very first mobile phone – released in Korea in 1988 pic. above.

Samsung Galaxy – the next big thing.Tipped by GSMarena.com as “the new leader of the Android pack” – the Samsung Galaxy S changed everything. Released in June 2010, it brought Samsung to the forefront of people’s minds when it came to Android devices.

Samsung devices tend to feature curved OLED screens, bonded to the metal chassis of the device, this means that the copy screens that are available often lack crucial parts and won’t fit onto damaged chassis well. As such, we only offer Genuine Samsung Service Packs, providing all the clarity of the original screen and in the case of the flagship models, provides an almost entirely new chassis for the device, often allowing an otherwise un-repairable bent device, a new lease on life.

Google Pixel

Everyone is familiar with the name Google, right? But did you realise that Google have been producing smartphones since October 2016 when they launched the Google Pixel and Pixel XL models. Their first attempt at a smartphone was a solid device with good cameras and unlimited cloud storage for all your pictures on Google Photos.
